Meet Our Girls
-
Lulu
Lulu is our big producer at 7 gallons a day. She came from a local dairy that was switching from selling their milk for cheese to selling it for milk, which had them eliminating the Jerseys (known for butter fat) so we added her to our girls. She is friendly and smart, our herd leader. She just gave birth to little Lacie and her milk is flowing!
-
Blossom
Next is Blossom, she also came from a local dairy and was simply not producing enough for their standards based on how much food she liked to eat. We were happy to take her as she is a wonderful mother and will care for any calves that need a good auntie. She is due to calve in the Fall of 2023.
-
Auggie
Auggie is a rescue from the beef auction where she was up to be slaughtered for meat. A local dairyman ended up getting her along with several other dairy cows from small farms in Southern Idaho who could no longer make a living with the commercial price of milk so low, We bought her from him and she only took a few days to warm up to us and halter train, She is absolutely one of the most loveable and sweetest cows ever. We are happy to provide a home for sweet Auggie.
-
The Twins, Lily & Lila
Lily and Lila were born to Mama Lulu a week before their due date. Both are healthy and independent and often have us searching for them as they wander into the woods, oftentimes laying down and falling asleep.
-
Sweet Cotton
Cotton is Blossom calf who is now a young heifer. She is friendly and loves to play with Lulu’s twins, Lila & Lily.
-
Tulah
The newest member of our dairy family. Tulah was born to Frankie on the 18th of August in the wooded area of the farm. She is sweet and independent.
-
Dolly & Primo
Dolly is a sweet girl who just had her first calf. He was born early in the woods and is adorable
-
Ellie
Ellie came to us recenlty along with her calf Rosa. She is as gentle as they come. She adjusted easily to milking and loves the attention she gets while in the parlor. We are happy to add her to our girls.
-
Rosa
Rosa is Ellie’s calf, her papa is a Red Shorthorn, that is where her deep red color comes from. She hasn’t spent much time around people so she is still learning to let us love her up!
-
Ida
Ida is our first calf born in Idaho, her mom is Frankie. She has beautiful markings and is very sweet and gentle. We are hoping she has her first calf in 2025.
-
Our new calf, Lacie
Lacie was born to Lulu and is a healthy, happy calf who loves being looked after by all her aunties and her mom.
